Apple Brompton Road also reminds me of Apple Regent Street in London, but this store has some unique architectural highlights. Apple opened this store in the popular city district Knightsbridge (precisely next to the underground station for an excellent public transport connection), just a few minutes from fantastic Hyde Park.

Visitors enter the store through the central arcade, which mirrors the dimensions of the original Brompton Arcade built in the exact precise location in 1903. The store has 12 beautiful towering Sicilian ficus trees that line the 7-meter floor-to-ceiling windows and entryway. As usual, you can also sit on the seating at the base of each planter to interact with friends and employees or enjoy the natural feeling that fades inside the store thanks to the trees. Apple Brompton Road’s forum features a first for Apple in the UK: a mirrored ceiling that offers depth-enhancing reflections. Another premiere for UK customers: Apple Brompton Road is the first store with an Apple Pickup area for convenient online shopping and pickup directly in the store with a quick chat with the responsible Apple Pickup employee.
The store’s terrazzo flooring is comprised of a plant-based bio polymers, the first of its kind in Apple’s worldwide retail fleet. One prominent architectural highlight was the unique curved timber ceiling that creates an almost natural setting in combination with the amazing trees. This wave-like structure in the ceiling takes its course in the corner radius of the stone walls and pillars in the middle of Apple Brompton Road. This vast space offers ample seating where customers can relax and discover new tips and tricks to get the best from their devices because of a great view at the forum with special Today at Apple sessions. Like all Apple facilities, Apple Brompton Road is powered by 100 % renewable energy.
